Hitachi Data Systems Announces Four Partner Awards in Central and Eastern Europe

Hitachi Data Systems Recognizes Jet Infosystems (Russia) for Best Partner 2005, Verysell Distribution (Russia) for Best New Business Partner 2005, Sun Microsystems Mid Europe for Fastest Growing Partner 2005 and Computech (Croatia) for Best Service Partner 2005.

Vienna, Austria - Monday, March 6, 2006 Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, provider of Application Optimized Storage™ solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), recognised the outstanding achievements in 2005 of its partners in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with four awards.

The awards were presented at the Hitachi Data Systems Executive Partner Forum in Istanbul, on February 22, to representatives from Jet Infosystems (Best Partner), Verysell Distribution (Best New Business Partner), Sun Microsystems Mid Europe (Fastest Growing Partner) and Computech (Best Service Partner).

Jet Infosystem in Russia won Best Partner for its outstanding execution helping helping customers solve business problems and achieve benefits from Hitachi's Application Optimised Storage solutions. Verysell Distribution in Russia was recognized for implementing Hitachi's storage solutions to the most new customers in 2005. In the category of Fastest Growing Partner 2005, Sun Microsystems Mid Europe received the award for achieving 260% business growth with Hitachi Data Systems last year. Finally, Computech (Croatia) was recognised for its outstanding service organisation.
